Lenovo's charge on market!
Lenovo has acquired Motorola few years back and become somewhat successful in making smartphones under the legendary Motorola brand (which Lenovo itself did not!). Gaming smartphones have become a new hot category to invest as Mobile Gaming is getting a foothold with the entry of competitive games. What matters here is the portability rather than just raw power. There are quite a handful of gamers and even casual users who what to game anytime anywhere with the ease of portability. The Gaming Phones are targeted towards them with notable devices including Asus ROG Phone, Xiaomi Black Shark and Nubia Red Magic with the first one getting a lot of attention due to its renowned manufacturer. Razer also entered this market with their Razer Phone but didn't get much success and we haven't seen a new update since the Razer Phone 2.With all of this being said, all the phones have some good features specifically targeted to gamers and some downsides too. Lenovo after observing the market and the users desires made includes some features which we haven't seen on any other gaming phones, at least yet. Rather being focused on just raw power, Lenovo also focused its efforts on the design to make handling and gaming experience of the user better.
The headlining features
One of the most notable feature is the side popup camera. This can be quite useful for users who stream while gaming. The 20MP front camera is in the perfect spot. Lenovo also paid attention to the speakers despite of the fact that most gamers use headphones. But its a welcome change. The symmetric dual stereo speakers promises to deliver really good sound quality. The 90W fast charging ensures that you can fill up your juice in a pace not seen in any smartphone. 2 USB-C ports are present. One is placed at the bottom and the other being placed on the opposite side of the camera, yet another minor but essential detail as the bottom port makes gaming while charging a perfect and comfortable process. Charging via side port usually hinders the gameplay. To add more, UFS 3.0 storage and LDDR5 fast memory are also present. 144Hz display makes gameplay exceedingly smooth (although there are very few games who take advantages of higher refresh rates greater than 60Hz). The 144Hz display is backed by 240Hz touch sampling rate. And obviously, the phone is powered by the latest and greatest Snapdragon 865 chip. To cool all these beefy power, the phone includes 3D Cooling design to keep the performance on top. On rear we can spot a dual camera setup in rather an unsual position with a 64MP main sensor and 16MP wide angle.
